Happy Turkey Day folks, and for those outside the continental U.S., Happy Thursday. Our weekend starts a bit early and I figured I’d deliver a bit early as well. Please enjoy these tidbits… and then some leftovers.
Art Genius Myths – Andy Warhol said, “Why do people think artists are special? It’s just another job.” The Washington Post expands on 5 myths about art and genius.
Egypt Rising – From the fathers of architecture comes this story about the rising trend of Egyptian furniture design, and no, it’s not made of large alabaster stones.
Cool Gifts – Holidays are closing in and I’m certain you have more than a few gifts to buy yet. CoolHunting just released their 3rd annual gift guide to help cure what ails you.
Hot Walls – Taking really old technology and making it cool… err… hot again. This filigree radiator is awesome and I’m looking for wall space in my home to add one.
Apartment Therapy – Got a tip on another great blog, actually several blogs on one site depending on your city. If I keep this up, I’ll never read anything outside of design sites.
Grain Edit – As if one cool new blog find was enough, we bring you an homage to retro design and advertising.
No Patience For This – Onomatopoeia art by Atsushi Fukunaga is way beyond my attention span. It’s beautiful and I know I could never accomplish something like this.
Walk It Off – Did you kill yourself with food at lunch? Now you can burn those calories and get your work done. (link via Cool Hunting)
Get Dry – The weather has been a bit on the crap side here in SoCal. This post may come in handy sooner than we expect.
I Have No Words – Noisy Decent Graphics says it all.
That’s it for now. Have a great weekend and we’ll catch you back next week.
