Weekenders - October 5th, 2007

Busy week for Dave, Casual Week for Michele, at least until she showed up at the office after being in the office for a week. Now she’s back in the mix and kicking butt. Meanwhile, I have a 4 day weekend. Thank you Mr. Columbus.

Just For Mom - Now that Michele is back home from her vacation, I’m sure she’s swimming in junk mail, phone messages and overdue paperwork. Maybe this article from WWD will help.

Renoir Outside - A great article in the NYT about Renoit and his landscape paintings, not the first thing you think of when I mention the art master’s name, is it?

Drop House - Do you love minimalist Japanese architecture but want to live in Brussels, Sao Paolo or Peoria? The Drop House may be your answers.

Benched! - This bench by Acronym Designs looks sleek enough to rest on the tail end of a Ferrari. Yes you can sit on it, but no buttons on the pants, please.

DIY Wednesdays - Found a new design blog called Design Sponge and it seems they’re trying out something new homemade projects every Wednesday. Cool stuff.

Susan Bradley - Again, we’re reminded of our post on Boring Walls with these outdoor wallpapers by award winning designer Susan Bradley. (side note: check out Amy Ruppel’s indoor wall art as well.)

Flickr Find - While stumbling along Flickr, I came across the art and design of Leonardohss (screen name). Very cool and inspiring stuff.

Solar Trees - Another gem from Inhabitat. Most outdoor infrastructure lighting is clunky and utalitarian. Ross Lovegrove has a different, more beautiful take.

Sprout Creation - My birthday is less than a month away. Perhaps Michele will take a look at this Vers Ipod deck and snatch it up for me.

Table Cloths - Not what you expect. The Japanese can make a game show out of anything. Watch it all the way through. You won’t be disappointed.
