Weekenders - May 23, 2008

It seems to be that we’ve been focusing on art a lot lately. Who am I to buck the trend.
Matthew Matsuoka - Sumptuous! That’s the first word that comes to mind when I see this work.
Gesundheit - How cool would Dennis Wojtkiewicz look over your mantle or in your kitchen? Very cool, I think.
Alina Maksimenko - I love this loose style. It’s they way I paint… if I were anywhere near this good.
Bad Trip - There’s something very creepy yet appealing about Anthony Bennett’s portraits. Would Warhol appreciate Bennett’s representation?
Jennifer Coates - The size of the images do not do this woman’s work any justice. Get a magnifying glass, you’ll thank me later.
How Much? - The Art News Blog reports that Lucian Freud is now the most expensive living artist. I guess I’ll have to love his work from afar.
Rebecca Campbell - This site has some really clunky navigation, but Campbell is so prolific, it’s worth the journey.
Full Circle - Paintings of lamps and interior, it all makes sense now.
…and for something completely different.
Daft Charleston - Al Mins and Leon James in one of the coolest video mashups I’ve seen. See this Daft Punk video for reference.
