In November, 2008 my son, Dave Conrey and I had our first mother-son art exhibit “The Apple Has Fallen”. I held it in my home in Indio and invited a few friends to review our work. This was the initiation my son needed to begin his “dream”. He’s currently working at a huge publisher as head art director. He likes the job but is would love to paint for a living. I’ve always wanted to do that myself and I found more excuses than life itself. With the recent recession activity, it makes you really take a look at yourself.

They say, “If you do what you love to do, you never work another day again in your life!”

You can see that our styles are completely different although I feel my son is now influencing me. I’ve started a series of abstracts and he’s working on figurative. Go figure! The Apple falls again!
